Hi, please, add an option to select the concrete BSSID (AP) with the same SSID / preference 5GHz from the list view. I think that most network administrators will be grateful because it pleasant and simplify testing of WiFi networks. Thank you Reproducible: Always
That's true, but this applet doesn't serve as a tool for network administrators and we should keep it simple so I don't think we are going to add such option. I'm sure there are more powerful tools for this purpose.

I understand but some expert mode would be nice. > I'm sure there are more powerful tools for this purpose. On Linux? Which one? I know only about commandline tools and LinSSID which is wireless scanning tool without any possibility to connect to the AP. This could be an other killer feature of KDE.
We plan to have a new KCM for network configuration in future and I can imagine that those options could be there, but definitely not in the applet.
I am a home user and I would like to support this request or at least the addition of more information about the wifi band in use. My use case was that I got a new dual-band wifi adapter, but it seemed that KDE was only connecting on 2.4 GHz. I needed to check that the adapter worked on 5 GHz (in KDE Plasma). I also wanted to compare the speeds of each band to see whether to move my adapter. I found it difficult to understand how to make KDE use 5 GHz and only succeeded with help from kind KDE users (see https://www.reddit.com/r/kde/comments/odnwm8/how_do_i_get_kde_plasma_networks_to_see_5_ghz/). The problem was that I thought about connections in a different way from this applet's UI. It would be helpful if there was at least some indication in the applet that the system (all the software that supports the applet including Network Manager) is aware of and able to connect on both bands. For example, if you click on an active connection and then the 'Details' tab, you are provided with items such as the signal strength. It would have helped me if the 'Details' tab also displayed the connection's current band and possible bands. I would also like to give my thanks to Mr Grulich for his work on the KDE Networks interface for so many years.
This is already available in the KCM, and it's the kind of thing you'll typically set once and then leave alone; why do we need it in the applet too?
