Description Andreas Draganis 2014-11-06 10:04:04 UTC
In the "Replace" field in Find/Replace, switching individual letters in a word between uppercase/lowercase is not possible if the word has previously been used in a Find/Replace operation: Whenever focus is moved from the "Replace" text field, the word is switched back to it's old format.

To reproduce:
Say I want to replace all instances in my document of "test1" and "Test1" by "test2" and "Test2", respectively. I then open up Find/Replace and enter
Find: test1
Replace: test2
After I've done all my replacing with these settings, I try to enter
Find: Test1
Replace: Test2
But Kile won't let me enter "Test2" in the Replace field. No matter how I try, it replaces "Test2" by the old "test2" (from the find/replace history) whenever I switch focus from the text field.

Additional comments:
-This probably has something to do with the autocomplete feature (which it seems I can't disable for the Find/Replace text boxes).
-I also can't clear the find/replace history (as far as I know), which was my final idea for a workaround. Thus, after having performed the first one, it is totally impossible to perform the second find/replace operation exemplified above!
-The "Find" text field doesn't have the same problem.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Enter the following in Find/Replace:
Find: test1
Replace: test2
2. Press "Replace".
3. Enter
Find: Test1
Replace: Test2

Actual Results:
"Test2" will change back to "test2" when focus is moved from the "Replace" text field.

Expected Results:
The above shouldn't happen.

Please see "Details".
