Raw files are processed in digiKam using libraw (http://www.libraw.org)

Sound like this problem is relevant of Libraw, not in digiKam.

Can you share a A7 RAW files to test.

Important : Sony A7 is only supported with last libraw 0.16.0.

Which libraw you use exactly ? Look into Help/Components Info dialog for details.

The raw (*.ARW) file is in the zip file you can find here https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxrEeePgFqRgUGZLeVFzTENwbmM/view?usp=sharing

It seems that libkdcraw23 still requires the libraw9 (>=15.1) instead of the 16 version.
Comment 5 caulier.gilles 2014-11-03 17:55:21 UTC
yes, but to decode A7 raw file you need libraw 0.16.0

This is why it doesn't work on your computer. All work fine on mine.

So ask to your distro team to update libkdcraw with libraw 0.16

Not reproducible with digiKam 7.0.0-beta1.
