Converting raw files to jpg turns the result to a red layered image. Rawtherapee or Gwenview (e.g.) are not affected. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. convert files from raw to jpeg Actual Results: the jpeg files are red filtered Expected Results: a good image
Raw files are processed in digiKam using libraw (http://www.libraw.org) Sound like this problem is relevant of Libraw, not in digiKam. Can you share a A7 RAW files to test. Gilles Caulier
Important : Sony A7 is only supported with last libraw 0.16.0. Which libraw you use exactly ? Look into Help/Components Info dialog for details. Gilles Caulier

It seems that libkdcraw23 still requires the libraw9 (>=15.1) instead of the 16 version.
yes, but to decode A7 raw file you need libraw 0.16.0 This is why it doesn't work on your computer. All work fine on mine. So ask to your distro team to update libkdcraw with libraw 0.16 Gilles Caulier
Not reproducible with digiKam 7.0.0-beta1.
