Description Luke-Jr 2014-11-02 08:39:45 UTC
Valgrind no longer works on x86_32 unless many newer instructions are disabled.
The maintainer(s) have chosen not to keep x86 functioning and up-to-date - see: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=291924#c4
Therefore, the webpage's documentation for x86/Linux (and I presume other x86/* platforms) should be updated to reflect the current state as "abandoned, does not work on current systems" or similar.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
Open http://valgrind.org/info/platforms.html

Actual Results:
"x86/Linux: support is mature and almost complete."

Expected Results:
"x86/Linux: support is mature, but abandoned, does not work on current systems."

I think the current text is fair enough saying it is in "maintenance mode"
