It seems that gzipping gpx files is a common thing to do, at least popular programs dealing with GPS data (like gpsprune) support loading .gpx.gz files. It would be nice if the gpssync dialog also allowed loading these.

The gpssync dialog has been long gone, so I think we can close this.

KIPI is dead since a very long time, but nothing have been lost in digiKam.
