Description Sergio 2014-10-24 09:51:24 UTC
Working on KDE development platform 4.13.3 on Kubuntu trusty 64 bit.

When I select print from a KDE application (e.g. okular), the print dialog appears and I can select a printer from the list of available ones.

However, selecting the right printer is more complex than it should because the information field "location" is always blank, even if printers appear to be configured in the KDE control center with a "location" (e.g. "Office second floor").

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open a document in okular
2. Invoke the print action

Actual Results:
A dialog appears, where the printer can be selected. The "location" information field is blank for any possible printer.

Expected Results:
The location field contains location information from the printers configuration, so helping find the right printer.

I can also reproduce this in Kubuntu 14.04 KDE 4.13.3

This seems to be resolved in newer versions of KDE framework.
