Description Michael Gooch 2014-10-24 09:45:13 UTC
I'm not quite sure what you need from me to diagnose this, but it has been failing for me in the QT webkit module.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. clone emerge from git
2. set up kde environment settings etc
3. emerge something that depends on qt or qt itself

Actual Results:
everything leading up to qt builds properly. Qt fails its build somwhere in its webkit module.

Expected Results:
QT module finishes build successfully

http://pastebin.com/wJicadE0 seems to contain the relevant error. I have no idea what to do about this.

I label this major because kde depends on QT if I understand correctly.

Hi this one looks like a common problem, a too long path name.
Could you please have a look on the "use short path" settings in kdesettings.bat?
Comment 2 Michael Gooch 2014-10-24 09:51:57 UTC
strangely, I don't actually see that setting in this file

I also seem to be having an issue where the ini file is being used by emerge instead of the settings.bat file (python files being given priority perhaps?)
Comment 3 Michael Gooch 2014-10-24 09:52:45 UTC
found it

set EMERGE_USE_SHORT_PATH=True
Comment 4 Michael Gooch 2014-10-24 09:53:25 UTC
its also set that way in the kdesettings.ini file

Strangely if I try to use the powershell script, it doesn't seem to properly complete setup.
