it's meant to be displayed all the time *without* auto hide. Could you confirm what you mean.

I mean auto hide is selected in the panel settings, but the panel doesn't auto hide. Instead, it is displayed all the time and does not hide.

I attach the output below. I also saw now that after restarting, the "auto hide" option is forgotten, i.e. switched back to "always visible".

Yes, the same problem. This setting only takes effect in current session.
