Hi, please see the attached screenshot. Is there possibly an option I can use to improve the readability of items in the task manager? It is especially bad when a dark wallpaper is used. Thanks! Reproducible: Always

That's weird, you don't have compositing and it's not using the opaque background. Is it still happening? Can you past the output of qdbus org.kde.KWin /KWin org.kde.KWin.supportInformation please

Sorry for the delayed response. I posted the supportinformation file. With the latest openSUSE Factory updates from the Plasma5 repo, the problem continues.
Open Systemsettings -> Desktop Behavior -> Desktop Effects Enable "Background Contrast"
Very nice! That did the trick. Could this option possibly be enabled by default? Thanks a lot!
>Could this option possibly be enabled by default? It is. No idea how yours got turned off.
When I went to change it, the checkbox was in a half-checked state, not sure what what means.
Apparently another occurrence of this bug (generating bad press for KDE) in this review: http://www.phoronix.com/forums/forum/phoronix/latest-phoronix-articles/804218-fedora-22-kde-delivers-a-great-plasma-5-experience?p=804263#post804263
Hi there, author of the review referenced in comment 9. When I went into Desktop Effects mine was also marked with a half check. What's the difference between a half and full check for the configuration system?
