Description leon pollak 2014-10-20 11:47:09 UTC
BatMon works according to "On Battery" profile and writes "Battery not charging" at left click on the icon in the System Tray, BUT:
1. The charger is connected and charging.
2. The icon of BatMon shows the charging picture.

Also when I extract the power connector, the BatMon icon changes to that without charger connected and the display brightness goes at about 70%, while one click on BatMon shows that "Display Brightness" is at 100%.

Reproducible: Always

Actual Results:
This happens at some moment and I am not able to get rid off it. The reboot also does not help.

Note that the battery not neccessarily charges just because the AC is plugged in.
It might already be full or a charge lock in place - the 4.x series does not distinguish full and not charging and just displays "Not charging".

Yes, I understand.
But in this state it switches my laptop to the power saving modes and even forces it to sleep! And this goes against the settings which say no screen deeming and no sleeps while on charger.
This behavior became very insistent after some updated of my Fedora, I did not payed attention when. But this was not more than a month ago...

Re-assigning to PowerDevil since it handles the standby stuff, it should stay in "On AC" mode as long as the cable is plugged in, regardless of any battery state.
