Description zezadas 2014-10-19 19:33:55 UTC
So when i go to printing options, on the tab about Pages, I select 4 pages in one page and then select the orientation, the default option, that is the supposed to be the natural order(the same we write) it prints like
3 1
4 2

and it was expected to print like
1 2
3 4

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.print pdf
2.chose more than one page per page printed
3.print

Actual Results:
it prints like
3 1
4 2

Expected Results:
1 2
3 4

Can you attach the document you had this problem with?
Comment 2 zezadas 2014-10-28 12:38:44 UTC
It does that with every pdf (did not try anything besides pdf)
Also I have a friend that has the same problem.
Comment 3 Albert Astals Cid 2014-10-29 00:33:34 UTC
Still please attach such a pdf you're using. Also tell us which cups version you have installed.

I have done a little test on my PC and it printed well

I will have to re test it on my GF PC.
I will update this as soon as I can.
Comment 7 Christoph Feck 2014-12-12 22:02:05 UTC
Since this works on your PC, we assume Okular does the correct thing. Resolving accordingly.

Please add a comment, if you get the chance to test this on your friends PC.

Testdocument

I found the culprit of this issue (which is not resolved) and it has to do with the orientation settings in the printer properties:

1. Open attached testdocument
2. Go print -> printer properties -> Orientation: Portrait -> OK
3. Options -> Pages -> Pages per Sheet: 2
4. Hit Print

Actual Result:
Order of pages is reversed (2 before 1) in printed output.

Expected Result:
Page 1 is on top of page 2 in printed output.

Furthermore unfortunately this issues seems to be twofold, since okular isn't actual able to print the document on an page with landscape orientation (see photos).

Reopening based on recent comments.

It seems the option to print multiple pages on one has been removed from Okular, can you please confirm if this issue is still present on current verisons?

Are you able to show me where it is so I can test?

Ctrl+P -> Properties -> Pages per Sheet

Thank you.

I've just tested this and I can confirm it is printing like desired:

1 2
3 4

This is a portrait PDF.

Is anyone else able to confirm if this is the case for them so we can resolve this bug, thanks.
