The settings application doesn't seem to remember the last position of the window like many other applications do, and always opens at the upper left corner of the screen. It's a minor problem, but I wish it could be fixed because it feels annoying sometimes, especially when considering it could be the one of the most frequently used applications by new users and possibly affects their impression of the overall usability of the desktop. Reproducible: Always
KDE applications usually only remember window size, but not the window position. Could you please explain why this should be different for System Settings? Maybe you previously used special window settings ("rules") to enforce a position, but did not port the rules to Plasma 5.
I suppose I mistook other KDE applications to have such a feature, possibly by getting accustomed to seeing KMail or Akreagator, etc which are usually restored from the systray. I'll just file a feature request for this (for KWin or Plasmashell, of course). Thanks for the clarification.
So I can close this?
