Description nickwiltsher 2014-10-14 22:31:47 UTC
When I go to system settings >> input devices >> touchpad, a red bar at the top displays the error message "Synaptics driver is not installed (or is not used)". All the options are greyed out -- I'm unable to change any touchpad settings.

So far as I can tell, the synaptics driver shouldn't be installed or used -- it seems that the synaptics driver isn't used in Kubuntu 14.04.

Please let me know if I can helpfully improve this report
