Description dan 2014-10-03 03:26:04 UTC
Archlinux on asus laptop. The larger screen (left in screenshot) is the laptop screen, and the slighly smaller one on right is an HDMI output

When I click the volume icon for KMix in the panel tray the popup shows on the wrong screen. It also shows covering up the panel, instead of above it. Screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/SDmjC47.jpg

I have played around with different configurations, and it is pretty odd. The only configuration that makes it pop up correctly is changing the external screen to be on left(vs on right like i have it now) and changing the laptop screen to be primary.

while testing i also tried clicking Klipper tray icon in all configurations, and it had no issues like KMix :)

ok i tested some more, and if i change screen configuration and then with a single xrandr command change the position to how i want it and set primary(xrandr --output HDMI-0 --primary --right-of LVDS-0), it finally makes the popup go to right screen. tho it is still annoying that it pops up overtop of the panel instead of above it(like Klipper does...). and it would be annoying to have to run that every time i start computer

Reproducible: Always

In the screenshot it actually is not covering the panel, but when I change configuration to where the popup shows on the proper screen, then it does cover the panel. Sorry for the confusion.

Probably same issue as in Bug #339675.
