OS: Opensuse factory x86_64 KDE Framework 5.1 Plasma shell 5.0.1 Not sure if this is a feature or bug but I just noticed that clicking on desktop area minimizes all windows and shows desktop. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Have one application windows open but not maximized, keeping some desktop area visible. 2. Click on that visible desktop area. Actual Results: Shows desktop. Expected Results: If this is not feature then clicking desktop shouldn't minimize all windows.
Is it possible to try with 5.1beta (real version should be 5.0.95 iirc)? I cannot reproduce with this version
Yes, I'm running 5.0.95. Below might help. * Compositing disabled. * Decoration oxygen * Kept chrome, Kwrite, Dophin in normal size, i.e. not maximized. * This way small part of desktop is visible clicking on which all windows are minimized. * I had more success producing this bug with chrome window in front. This happens when window has focus and then I click empty desktop area.
If you right-click on desktop -> Desktop Settings... -> Mouse actions -- do you have a mouse action set for left-mouse click? Also are desktop type are you using? Folder? Or simple image? (Desktop Settings -> Layout)
Using "Desktop". Also selection dropdown is disabled so can not change. Mouse actions in desktop settings has no action for left click.
> Mouse actions in desktop settings has no action for left click. Add it :)
It has no option like "Do Nothing". I set to "Paste" as that would do nothing but still it minimizes all windows and shows desktop :)
