Description adr.fantini 2014-09-29 10:04:17 UTC
CALLIGRA version 2.8.6, not 2.8.5.

Using Top Screen Menubar (did not check yet with the other settings) the menus are heavily crippled: only 3 appear: "file", "settings" and "help"
One can fix this, for example, by editing the toolbars and applying: new submenus appear.

Thus there is a workaround but still one of the major features is broken.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open any Calligra product
2. Verify that the menu bar only contains "file", "settings" and "help"
3. Edit a toolbar and apply changes
4. Verify that many more submenus appeared

No additional configuration to report, packages are the standard from ArchLinux "extra" repo.

Ido not know when this problem started, sadly, as I seldom use Calligra.

it's actually a bug in the top screen menubar and has been there for ages

Calligra updates the menus at runtime based on loaded components, and for some reason this doesn't get picked up.

I would suggest you report the bug to the application you use to have top screen menubar
