The application menu / (kicker) icon is HUGE with a left panel.
Sometimes dialogs and popups mess with the left side.
It would be great if the "apps can cover" also included a border where apps cannot cover, (say over the icons of the taskbar)

Just general things like this.


Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.I'm using project neon
2. I use my panel on the left
3. There are more bugs than I can think of
4. I don't think this is yet made with many development considerations yet.
5.  This bug shall depend on other ones.

I don't understand this bug report in any way. I use the widget in a panel on the left myself and don't see problems with the icon size. Please include further information and ideally screenshots.
