Description Dmitry 2014-09-22 20:31:49 UTC
/usr/bin/kcmshell4 kcm_phonon constantly crashes on window close, 100% reproducible for me.
But other applets like powerdevilactivitiesconfig or powerdevilglobalconfig works as expected, and so does "audio video settings" when launched from system settings.

Actions performed in the app doesn't matter, reproducible with simple open-close pattern.
KDE 4.14.0, SysSettings 4.11.11

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. /usr/bin/kcmshell4 kcm_phonon
2. close the window
3. enjoy sigsegv

Actual Results:
Kmix -> settings -> audio setup - always crash
direct launch from lancelot launcher or terminal - always crash
system settings -> multimedia - works as expected

Application: KDE Control Module (kcmshell4), signal: Segmentation fault
Using host libthread_db library "/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libthread_db.so.1".

systemsettings 4 is no longer supported, we do only support version 5

I can not reproduce this crash with the following combinations
  systemsettings 5.4.1 + Qt 5.5.0
  systemsettings 5.3.2 + Qt 5.4.1
Can you still reproduce this hang on version 5?

If you can still reproduce the crash could you please install valgrind and then run
   valgrind systemsettings5
in a terminal, try to reproduce the crash and add here the valgrind output?
