When you try to create a new note, and an invalid collection is set, a dialog appears telling you of the problem and asking you whether you want to choose a new default collection. So far so good. But, if you select "Yes", the resulting dialog to choose a collection is empty. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Make sure that an invalid collection is selected for saving notes, either by deleting the one that is set, or by editing 1. Make sure that an invalid collection is selected for saving notes, either by deleting the one that is set, or by editing the file globalnotesettings. 2. Probably restart knotes, I'm not sure about this. 3. Try to create a new note. 4. Select "Yes" in the dialog that appears, asking you whether you want to set a new default collection. 2. 3. Actual Results: The new dialog that appears is empty, even if there are collections/akonote resources available. So you cannot actually select any collection/resource. Expected Results: The dialog should show the available akonotes resources. If there is _no_ default collection set (e.g. when globalnotesettings does not exist yet), it works as expected.
Created attachment 88737 [details] screenshot showing the problem This screenshot should prove that there are other collections available, but the dialog is empty. Sorry for it being in german, but it should be comprehensible enough I think. ;)
I confirm it. I need to understand where is the bug.
It happens too when receiving a note from other desktop. That window appear empty, so I can't select any collection to store the received note and is lost. https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=339804
