The old Kicker menu system allowed the user to edit certain options via a right-click. Among these was the ability to change the number of apps shown under the Recently Used tab. With the current Launcher system this number is fixed at 5 apps and 5 recent documents. This represents a loss of functionality and should be corrected. Even if the total space cannot be changed, it should at least be possible to prefer more apps and fewer docs, or vice versa. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Right click on Kicker icon 2.Select Application Launcher Settings Actual Results: No option to adjust number of recent apps shown. Expected Results: Some way of configuring the number of apps and docs.
As per the discussion on the Fedora "kde" mailing list, what the author is actually using is Plasma 4 Kickoff, not anything named "Kicker" (neither the old KDE 3 Kicker nor the new Plasma 5 Kicker).
I'm sure you're right. None of these names mean anything to me, which is why I can never remember them (I see the Kickoff menu has a pop-up label which I'd never even noticed before now).
Plasma 4 Kickoff is unmaintained. IF you still want this for the Plasma 5 version, please file a new bug.
