Then I disabled it which also restarted song playback. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Start playback in amarok. 2. Enable equalizer. 3. Disable equalizer. This depends on a feature that would need to be implemented, not a bug. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 337787 ***
This bug has nothing to do with bug 337787, which is about the equalizer settings not being APPLIED until you click OK. When people USE an equalizer, what they WANT, is for the settlings to be continuously applied, so they can slide the sliders up and down, and immediately hear the sound change, so they know when it sounds right. That is what 337787 is about. THIS bug report, 339076, is about the fact that when you use the equalizer, and press OK, THE CURRENT SONG RESTARTS PLAYBACK FROM THE BEGINNING. THIS IS AN AWFUL AND KNOWN BUG, WHICH HAS BEEN AROUND SINCE 2012, see: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=311193 Bug 311193 - Switching equalizer presets from/to Inactive resets song playback There has been a 13-line fix for this, since February 2015.
