Amarok's photo applet does not show photos from flickr anymore because of flickr's SSL requirement.

Steps to Reproduce:
1) Start Amarok
2) Show photo applet
3) Play something
4) Waiting for artist pictures...

Actual Results:
No pictures.

Expected Results:
Nice pictures.

Build Date & Platform:

Qt 4.8.5
KDE 4.11.5
Amarok 2.8.0

Additional Information:
If I cut and paste the URL from the console output produced by "amarok --debug" (see attachment)

into firefox I get this answer:

<rsp stat="fail">
	<err code="95" msg="SSL is required"/>
</rsp>

More than a year... any idea when this will be fixed ?
Using OpenSUSE 13.2; KDE 4.14.9; Amarok 2.8.0 - still produces http links instead of https.
Comment 3 Myriam Schweingruber 2015-10-16 09:17:32 UTC
This is unlikely to be fixed in the Qt4 version of Amarok, as we need all our resources for the Qt5 port.
Of course we welcome patches to get this into Amarok 2.9
