summary says it all, I thought. The little ! in the orange circle that says you need to update should be smart enough to go away after you do an update, because what it indicates--x number of updates available--is no longer valid. You have to manually quit it. PS--don't know why the version box (above) doesn't include the version I have, supplied as the latest by PCLOS.
What is the name of the program that provides the update icon? Muon? Apper? If unsure, please ask in a forum of your distribution.
