The Arrange tool doesn’t apply to layers or bitmap objects as far as I know. Consequently, there is no possibility to center or align a pixel object, the content of a layer or a selection. This could be a very useful feature to let people align, center, organise any pixel object. In my opinion, the Arrange tool purpose is currently blurry, a precision is missing: maybe the name of the tool could be “Arrange text” if this is what it supposed to do so far, but to be honest I am not sure, some documentation is missing on this point.
+1 for this feature, it will be helpful to align multiple panels of a comic page. and also in many other scenarios.
This needs to be a new tool. WISHGROUP: Stretchgoal

(In reply to Tymond from comment #4) > *** Bug 427487 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** +1 for such feature. But actually it should've been part of the basics for the tools in Krita. The thing is, sure Krita is a drawing and painting software, but it'd be even better if it had a good set of image manipulation tools and features optimized for both serious graphic design and digital painting. Aligning bitmaps or vectors is part of these features. Rich text editing like in Photoshop is another. And I swear those are damn useful. But I understand more support for the development of the app would make things easier. Krita is currently in need of lots of optimization.
Please do not forget about aligning contents from different layers only. Not objects within the same layer like how Krita is currently made. Vector layers are no exception. This would simply lead to a confusing workflow, and aligning abjects from different layers is more intuitive.
