Description MaxiPunkt 2014-08-02 15:40:07 UTC
I always use auto-rotation (losless) when importing pictures from my camera (Canon A495) with digikam. This used to work for me for years in older digikam-versions.

Don't know when this bug was introduced, but actually with digikam 4.0.0 (FC20 RPM's) auto-rotation no longer works:

Digikam informs me that I can switch off camera while the pictures are getting rotated, but actually this does not happen!
EXIF-informations show untouched orientation-flag, opening pictures with applications not able to rotate pictures based on EXIF-data (like kolourpaint) show pictures with wrong orientation.

Has this already been fixed in newer digikam version (as 4.1.0 is out, but it's not in Fedora-repos), or is this a open bug?
