(*** This bug was imported into bugs.kde.org ***) Package: kmail Version: KDE 2.2.0 Severity: normal Installed from: Mandrake RPMs Compiler: Not Specified OS: Linux OS/Compiler notes: Not Specified I have Interval Mail Checking enabled and set to 5 minutes. I also sometimes click on the "Check Mail" button (I don't know if that's relevant). I leave my computer on throughout the day to fetch mail and when I get home I find it's gotten some mail but not very much and when I hit the "Check Mail in" button it says "Transmission completed". If I then close and reopen KMail and press the "Check Mail in" button it retrieves 50-60 messages or so. Basically at some point getting mail just seems to stop working until I reinitialise the application. Thanx. (Submitted via bugs.kde.org)

Yes, on some point getting mail seems to stop working. I am checking one pop3 and one local account. Well this seems to be fixed a long time ago but actually I am experiencing this behavior right now in the kmail version that comes with kde 3.2.3! Even klicking the check mail button does not work any more, when that happens. I have an interval of one minute selected in my config. I suggest reopening the bug and checking if somehow the same bug made it into the code again.
