In Kraft there is the original english string: "Your identity can be found in the address books." and the german translation is "Ihre Identität wurde nicht in den Adressbüchern gefunden." which is exactly the opposite. It should rather be "Ihre Identität wurde in den Adressbüchern gefunden." Thanks for fixing and translating Kraft! Reproducible: Always
SVN commit 1393191 by schwarzer: Translation fix. Thanks Klaas Freitag for the hint. CCMAIL: freitag@kde.org (nice email address, btw. :)) M +5 -5 kraft.po WebSVN link: http://websvn.kde.org/?view=rev&revision=1393191
I feel there is a mismatch here. If you wanted to say "wurde gefunden", it should be "could be found" in english. If the english text "can be found" is correct, then the translation should be "kann gefunden werden". Please clarify.
Reopening for more opinions. The wording in English is not always the same even if it means the same. This file should be checked though because the meaning is kind of special here.
I think it should be rather "kann gefunden werden". The meaning is that the contact, which was picked by the user as his own contact data and stored by Kraft, can be found in the address book on the system. Kraft only stores the UID to the contact. Not sure if that makes it more clear ;-)
Created attachment 87867 [details] Screenshot of the identity dialog Here is a screenshot of the dialog, a picture should help :) Let me know if I should adopt the english text. Thanks.
To me it is not clear what that line should tell me. I see two interpretations: 1) to clarify that the information is permanently stored somewhere else. 2) to notify that I have to edit the displayed information elsewhere In both cases I would not use the words "to find/finden" at all. The text is not the result of a search operation. Suggestion: 1) Your identity is stored in the address books / Ihre Identität ist in den Addressbüchern gespeichert 2) You can change the identity in the address books / Sie können Ihre Identität in den Addressbüchern ändern You could also combine both interpretations :)
Ah wait, looking at that dialog again, I see a third interpretation: The application wants to inform me of the origin of the displayed data. In this case adapt the english text: Your identify was found in the address books / Ihre Identität wurde in den Adressbüchern gefunden Right?
