Description H.H. 2014-07-05 09:55:27 UTC
Before a few years, the file overwrite dialog changed, and one change was very annoying:

I have very often the case, that I copy / move some more files, and want to overwrite existing files. I wish the button "overwrite all" back.

Currently, I have to click this small checkbox "do this for all" and additionally have to click the overwrite-button. In the other case, I only had to click one time, and not on a small checkbox.

I liked the old overwrite dialog much more. Why had this to change?

Reproducible: Always

The old dialog had fewer options, e.g. no "Rename" and "Rename all" options.

To me this is a WONTFIX. There would be too many buttons, if we removed the checkbox.

Additionally, the risk to accidentally hit the wrong button, and have all files overwritten is reduced with the checkbox.
