Not long ago I requested that digiKam remember the zoom and pan setting when switching photos. This was kindly implemented, but not in a way which actually makes it useful.

Currently Gwenview remembers the zoom and pan setting *only for the same image*. This is of very limited use, as the point of this feature is to be able to check a whole series of images while keeping the same zoom and pan area, e.g. to check a collection of photos for sharpness.

Please make the pan and zoom settings apply to the next image regardless whether that next image was ever opened before. In other words, don't remember the image's zoom/pan settings, but remember my current zoom/pan settings, and re-apply these when opening the next image.
