Description Aapo Rantalainen 2014-07-01 16:34:15 UTC
Okteta Version 0.13.0
KDE version 4.13.0

Window of non-maximized okteta doesn't fit on the screen (regardless of the screen height). Workaround is use okteta always in maximized. Or manually shrink the window.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1) rm ~/.kde/share/config/oktetarc
2) start okteta (from menu or via cli)
Window is on the right side of the screen and it's height is the same than screen height. Width is not the same than screen width. Window thinks to be maximized (there are no 'maximize', but 'restore').
3) 'Restore' or move window a little bit (which implies 'restore')
Actual Results:
Okteta's window is too tall to fit on the screen.

Expected Results:
Okteta's window has some sane height, less than screen height.

It doesn't matter what is the height of the screen. I have seen this on screens with height 1800 and 768.

In some systems (and different okteta version) okteta starts on 'non-maximized' and window is too tall.

This still occurs in 0.26.10 on Arch Linux.

Qt Version: 5.18.8
KDE Frameworks 5.103.0

This still occurs on openSUSE Tumbleweed. I'm using Wayland.
Let me know how I can help.

QT: 5.15.9
Frameworks: 5.106.0
Okteta: 0.26.10

This still happens with Okteta 0.26.13 almost 10 years after the original bug report. There are also many similar issues in the tracker closed as "resolved worksforme" or similar. Guess it is a feature. Still makes the app feel completely out of place in plasma.
