When I set brush rotation to pen rotation, the brush rotates opposite to the rotation of the pen. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Select a brush with irregular, oblong, or square shape so rotation may be observed 2. Under Brush Engine/Pixel/Rotation select Rotation 3. Rotate pen Actual Results: The brush rotates in the opposite direction that the pen is rotated Expected Results: The brush should rotate in the same direction as the pen is rotated Running on OS X 10.9.3 Wacom Intuous 4 w/Art Pen Driver version 6.3.8-2
So far I can't reproduce on windows 8.1 and cintiq21ux with grip and airbrush. Perhaps the rotation isn't supported by my tablet, though, as I get no rotation at all :P When using tilt direction it works as expected however, and the only way I managed to reverse rotation direction on that setting is by reversing the curve.
Hi Marcus, Thank you for your email, I did not realize that I could use the curve to reverse the rotation. I just tried it with krita 2.9.1 and it works fine. But the Wacom art pen appears to be the only one that supports rotation. Also, works fine with krita on Windows 7, not sure which version I have there—haven’t updated it in a while. I also just tried with 2.9.5 on my Macbook pro and when I set brush rotation to the pen rotation, I get no rotation at all. For now, I will continue to use 2.9.1 knowing I can use the curve to reverse the rotation. Thank you for your time. Dmitry or Wolthera: you both have art pens... Could you try to confirm this issue?
If we cannot reproduce on Windows or Linux, then I guess we can close as upstream -- something weird in Qt's tablet support in that case!
Meh, I haven't got an artpen, and Dmitry hasn't got a mac...
Hi, Could you check whether this still happens with the latest pre-alpha build? http://files.kde.org/krita/3/osx/krita3-prealpha3-de0d43d.dmg The artpen and the mac still aren't in the same country, I'm afraid...
Hi, Yes, the brush rotation is working the way one would expect with the Wacom art pen, thank you for fixing that. However, the brush outline is not visible, so you can’t see where your brush is or the angle until you start painting a stroke. Also, when I lift the pen off the tablet after painting a stroke, the canvas zooms out. The longer the stroke, the further it will zoom out. I look forward to version 3 release! Yes, the outline problem is known; Apple, in its wisdom has decided to not support the OpenGL compatibility profiles, which Qt relies on. We're working on that, they're basically forcing us to rewrite large chunks of code for no good reason, but it's separate from this bug.
the wacom rotation is or pinch rotation is not being available
