Hello. I have been having a recurring issue with Ktorrent for the past 6-8 months involving Ktorrent freezing for at least 5 minutes before it even responds to any input through the GUI. This has happened on (if I remember correctly) Xubuntu 13.10 32-bit, Xubuntu 14.04 32-bit, Fedora 20 32-bit, Ubuntu 14.04 32-bit and now Kubuntu 14.04 32-bit. In case whoever is reading this is wondering, yes. This glitch occurred on those operating systems in that particular order. It might have happened on Linux Mint 15 32-bit, but I can't remember if it did or not at this moment in time. Anyways, as of a few hours ago, Ktorrent, after the same bug which has been plaguing me for the past 6-8 months reared its ugly head for the first time in around 3-5 weeks (I don't really use torrents anymore, but I decided to try it out for old time's sake.), Ktorrent has completely stopped working. I went into the System Monitor and saw that the process for Ktorrent was running, so I decided to end the process and try restarting the program. This is where things took an aggravating turn. Every time I tried ending the process, the space surrounding the process would turn red before fading back to white and resuming whatever it was doing in the first place without disappearing from the process table, which struck me as being quite odd since Ktorrent has never done anything like this in the past 6 months. The only way I was able to shut down Ktorrent was to right click on the process within System Monitor and kill the process, though, no matter how many times I did this, the issue has persisted and I'm running out of ideas on how to fix this issue. I tried searching through Google on how to fix this issue, but, from what I've found, no one has had this issue since early- to mid-2012 and that I'm apparently the only sap who's having to deal with this issue. This doesn't exactly surprise me, but it does raise some questions. Well, on my part, anyways. If this issue hasn't been reported since 2012, then why has it been happening to me since the late December of last year? Why did this issue not show up whenever I searched through the bug list while reporting this bug just now? Out of all of the users of Ktorrent, the KDE Plasma desktop or just any piece of software developed by KDE in general, am I the only one who's having to deal with this issue? I highly doubt the last question holds any water whatsoever, but, despite hours of searching on Google and multiple Linux forums, I haven't found cases of this bug being reported in around 1-2 years and I'm honestly wondering why I even stopped using Fedora 20 in general. Also, in a recent update, my installation of the Clamtk GUI for ClamAV has completely stopped working as well. No matter how many times I try to open both Ktorrent and Clamtk from within Kickoff, neither program will open and I can't stop the program from running unless I, again, open System Monitor, go into the process table and kill Ktorrent there, though Clamtk doesn't even bother to show up. In conclusion, I'd love for this issue to be solved soon due to how aggravating it has been for me over the past 6 months. This has happened on three different Linux distributions and around 6 different desktop environments, so something's obviously wrong with this picture. Thank you so much for reading this and I hope that this issue gets resolved with little-to-no problems on either of our ends. Have a great day and good job on the KDE Plasma desktop! Other than the issues with Ktorrent, Clamtk and Dolphin, I'm very impressed! You almost made me want to never touch GNOME ever again, to be quite honest! Reproducible: Always

do you use ntfs?
Thank you for the bug report. As this report hasn't seen any changes in 5 years or more, we ask if you can please confirm that the issue still persists. If this bug is no longer persisting or relevant please change the status to resolved.
