Description Martin Koller 2014-06-14 13:49:24 UTC
I plugged in my external USB HDD. The device notifier shows me the device.
I click on the "mount" icon and the device is mounted
df shows me /media/0557795a-d3f2-43b1-b38e-6ca31b1b3a5a
and I could also save a file to the device.
When I now click again on the device-notifier symbol, click on the device, I get 3 actions shown - on is "Open with filemanager".
When I click this option, I get an error:
Could not mount the following device ...
The device is already mounted ...

see attached screenshot

Of course it is already mounted, which the device notifier shows correctly!

Reproducible: Always

Expected Results:
Do not try to mount an already mounted device

Same here. I mount the drive with the mount button, then I click to "open with file manager" and it gives an error stating that the device is already mounted. I don't really care, mount it if it's not mounted, and open file manager, otherwise just open file manager.

Using KF5, it's a plasmoid, OpenSUSE Leap 42.1

Hello!

This bug report was filed for KDE Plasma 4, which reached end-of-support status in August 2015. KDE Plasma 5's desktop shell has been almost completely rewritten for better performance and usability, so it is likely that this bug has already been resolved in Plasma 5.

Accordingly, we hope you understand why we must close this bug report. If the issue described here is still present in KDE Plasma 5.12 or later, please feel free to open a new ticket in the "plasmashell" product after reading https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved/Bug_Reporting

If you would like to get involved in KDE's bug triaging effort so that future mass bug closes like this are less likely, please read https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved#Bug_Triaging

Thanks for your understanding!
