Steps to reproduce: 1. Create symlink to a folder (e. g. /home/user1/tmpfolder/) on the desktop 2. Right click on the symlink and choose "Show Original Directory" 3. Dolphin opens and displays "The file or folder /home/user1/Desktop/home/user1/tmpfolder does not exist." Workaround: 1. Click the location bar 2. Remove the prefix "desktop:" from the path and press Enter
Thanks for the bug report! This is not a bug in Dolphin, I'll reassign it to folderview-widget.
Thanks. I just found an earlier bug report to the same issue: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=312330 ("Show Original File" option in link popup menu is broken) What would you say about adding something like "Show original file or folder" to the context menu of symlinked files or folders in Dolphin itself? Was this already discussed?

Still happens with Plasma 5.4.2
