Description Moviuro 2014-06-09 08:25:30 UTC
Certain combinations of font and size end up with katepart not showing the red underline for misspelled words.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Set font to Incosolata (size does not matter)
2. Apply & exit kate
3. Open kate once again, begin typing rubbish
Actual Results:
Misspelling markers disappeared

Expected Results:
Misspelling markers are still here

With Monospace font: http://wstaw.org/m/2014/06/08/plasma-desktopU13021.png
With Inconsolata: http://wstaw.org/m/2014/06/08/plasma-desktopw13021.png
After setting Inconsolata to a huge size, quitting and launching kate, changing font size back to its normal size: http://wstaw.org/m/2014/06/08/plasma-desktopE13021.png
(I believe this height bug has already been reported)

Even if it's not a true bug (setting font to Monospace basically solves it), it is pretty annoying as it breaks font consistency across KDE.
