Description Enrico Bastelli 2014-06-07 16:39:35 UTC
If I answer a mail I need to fill the field "from" and, no autocompletion is present, even if I have only one account configured.
If I compose a mail directly from Kmail, no problem, the field is correctly filled but, for example, if I mail a file, using the right click on Dolphin, the mail is correctly created but I have to fill the From.
Is supposed to work this way? Is there a way to make a default account? Is there a way to way for an autocompletion?

Thanks in advance.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Select a file
2. Send it as an attachment
3. See the "from" field

Expected Results:
The field from should be filled with a default account or the last used.
At least, an autocompletion with the account configured.

This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kmail2 (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.12 or later), it gets closed in about three months.

Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
