Debugging packages aka debugging symbols can be numerous and very large.  If your available disk space is low, you should be warned before it continues installing because running out of disk space can severely mess with your system making it unresponsive or even broken.

Package installation is handled by distribution-specific patches. Please report this issue to the bug tracker of your distribution.
