I drag a file from konqueror to the desktop, and it asks me "move/copy/link here" I answer link. It becomes a standard unix symbolic link. In the properties window for this link, I can edit the "Points to" property, when I change it, I get an error message stating "A file named /home/szo/Desktop/xxxx already exists." Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1. Open properties 2. Edit the "Points to" property 3. Click OK Actual Results: Error message Expected Results: The link's target should change.
The same issue on openSUSE 13.1, KDE 4.11.5. I already had some screenshots for the issue, so here they are: http://wstaw.org/m/2014/07/05/plasma-desktopYF1961.png (open properties) http://wstaw.org/m/2014/07/05/plasma-desktopPK1961.png (edit Points to) http://wstaw.org/m/2014/07/05/plasma-desktopFv1961.png (error message)
With openSUSE Tumbleweed and Plasma 5.11.5 the faulty behavior is no longer reproducible. I think this bug can be closed.
Thanks for the update; closing.
