The setup wizard shows a warning/info dialog that warns about missing driver QMYSQL3 [1]. It is not clear what it means. After search engine research (which shouldn't be necessary with regard to a good error message) it turns out it might refer to Qt3 MySQL plugin, but that seems odd. Please improve the feedback of the dialog. ---------- [1] I'm stuck with the german translation here (I assume driver is just an imprecise translation) (see also http://askubuntu.com/questions/473402/how-to-invoke-a-kde-application-with-another-language-equivalent-of-language-c)

Please provide the warning text you are referring to. > [1] I'm stuck with the german translation here (I assume driver is just an > imprecise translation) To tun krecipes in locale en_US please use In a konsole: "KDE_LANG=en_US krecipes"
Meanwhile I found out that the Krecipes depends softly on on or more of the packages libqt4-sql-mysql, libqt5-sql-mysql and/or libqt4-sql-mysql:i386. The resulting dialog text is: <code> The Qt database plug-in (QMYSQL3) is not installed. This plug-in is required for using this database backend. Would you like to run the setup wizard again? Otherwise, the application will be closed. </code> Which would make me start searching for Qt3 MySQL plugin... Anyway if the dependencies can be named they should appear in the dialog (I guess that KDE also integrates with a package manager so that the dialog might even offer to install the package with one click).
libqt5-sql-mysql is named libqt5sql5-mysql [1] ---------- [1] feature request for editing: https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=334299
