Description DrSlony 2014-05-26 15:32:17 UTC
I would like to see image dimensions in the information panel.

Reproducible: Always

Thanks for the report, but actually, this should work. Is the location where your images are stored indexed by Baloo?
Comment 2 DrSlony 2014-05-26 17:40:09 UTC
You're right, home is indexed, and now when I test on random PNG/JPG/TIFF images in home subfolders I do see width and height, but not in the one in the original post which is not in home and therefore not indexed.
Status: invalid?

Though it would be nice to not have to add a folder to the list of indexed ones just to see this.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I agree that this would be helpful in many situations (e.g., when browsing directories with images on an external hard disk, or on an SD card).

Support for fetching this information on demand would have to be added to Baloo (from Dolphin's point of view, Baloo's meta data widget is mostly a black box - we just tell it abou the URL of the file, and then it decides what to show on the screen), so I'll reassign this report.
