Description Martin Walch 2014-05-18 13:28:17 UTC
After starting a game (e. g. Mod3) and switching the card deck from "Oxygen Air" to "Oxygen White" it often happens that the appearance of the cards does not update immediately.

Steps to reproduce:
1. run kpat
2. start a game of Mod3
3. use the "Change Appearance" dialog to make sure the current card deck is "Oxygen Air" and verify that the cards you see actually have this appearance
4. open the "Change Appearance" dialog once again and select the card deck "Oxygen White", press "Apply"

Now the cards in the main window (behind the dialog) should have updated their appearance to "Oxygen White". However, most of the time this does not really happen (at least for me). Sometimes a few cards will be updated, sometimes no card will change its appearance, only in rare cases the theme will be completely updated. The full update usually does not happen before I quit Mod3 and select another game from the main menu.

This problem also sometimes appears with "Oxygen", but so far I have never observed it when switching to other themes, like e. g. Dondorf, Konqi, XSkat French, XSkat German etc. In those cases, the theme updates immediately when pressing "Apply" or "OK".

Still happens. I am not sure when exactly this is triggered, but chances are good when switching card decks repeatedly by selecting a different one and then pressing the apply button.

The deck actually is being updated when considerably resizing the window. Maybe this an issue with a stale cache?

Thank you for reporting this issue in KDE software. As it has been a while since this issue was reported, can we please ask you to see if you can reproduce the issue with a recent software version?

If you can reproduce the issue, please change the status to "REPORTED" when replying. Thank you!
