Description Marko Käning 2014-05-17 20:34:19 UTC
In case kaddressbook isn't installed it doesn't make sense to have the contact buttons enabled in the "Watched Nicks" toolbar.

The application can determine beforehand whether kaddressbook is present and set the button state accordingly.

Reproducible: Always

The address book association functionality depends on kdepimlibs, not on KAddressBook. The presence of the KAddressBook frontend isn't required.
Comment 2 Marko Käning 2014-05-17 21:11:05 UTC
OK, since I have port kdepimlibs4 installed on OSX/MacPorts I get the buttons displayed, but it is not functioning.

Does this mean I need to file a bug against kdepimlibs instead?

On second thought, I think I'm actually wrong - the Create/Edit Contact actions probably do try to launch KAddressBook, only the * Association actions work without. Now if I could find the UI to reopen a bug in the new Bugzilla theme ...

This is weird, because yesterday I could have reopened it, today the status field doesn't give me the opportunity anymore. :-(

Got sysadmin to fix things; reopening.

Was that due to a misconfiguration of bugzilla?

Yup, not our fault after all :).
