If I change the resolution of my screen from, say, 1920x1080 to something else, say 1024x768, then change it back again, the fonts (specifically Oxygen Mono, in this case, but likely other fonts too) look different in any newly opened application. Applications started before changing the resolution temporarily retain their normal font look - the look everything goes back to once you log out and back in. Reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 0. Set kate to use Oxygen Mono size 10. 1. Open kate. 2. Change the screen resolution, apply. 3. Change it back to what it was, apply. 4. Open another kate process. 5. Compare the text in the first kate window to the text in the second. Actual Results: The font looks different in the new window. Expected Results: Using the same font and font size in the same application shouldn't produce different results.

Sorry, that could be misunderstood. Let me try again: Applications started before temporarily changing the resolution retain their normal font look - the look everything goes back to once you log out and back in.
Not really a KScreen bug I guess, but I don't know what component could be responsible for this. Maybe Qt?
This is hopefully fixed, please re-open if it's still an issue.
