Hi,

It would be great if options could be added (ideally enabled by default) to allow Baloo to be limited to a certain percentage of CPU and RAM and perhaps I/O as well.

Whilst mostly it works well, I've been getting points where Baloo uses so much CPU that my laptop is unusable - I can't even get up the KDE system activity - and I have to go away and leave it for a bit until it calms down. Seems like adding limits to how much system resources it will use would stop this problem and might calm down some of the people asking for ways to disable it.

Sorry for the slow reply, I've actually been mostly away from my computer: but the problem hasn't recurred I think. So I'm not sure if the initial problems were just it indexing everything in the first couple weeks of a fresh install?

I'm pretty sure the component was baloo_file_extractor. Will look in more detail if it happens again.
