Description Cristian Klein 2014-05-13 07:57:45 UTC
I added a group to my personal agenda, featuring 4 emails. When writing an email, the group is not auto-completed. However, the group does show up if I click "Select" next to the "To" field.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a new group in Contacts.
2. Compose a new email
3. In the TO field, start writing the first few letters of the new group
Actual Results:
Group's name is not shown as part of the auto-completion

Expected Results:
Group's name is shown as part of the auto-completion
Comment 1 Cristian Klein 2014-05-13 08:05:35 UTC
I just noticed that even using "Select" does not work for groups. Kontact expects this to be a valid email address. Should I rename the title of the bug to something like "Groups are not supported"?
Comment 2 Denis Kurz 2016-09-24 19:22:07 UTC
This bug has only been reported for versions before 4.14, which have been unsupported for at least two years now. Can anyone tell if this bug still present?

If noone confirms this bug for a Framework-based version of kontact (version 5.0 or later, as part of KDE Applications 15.08 or later), it gets closed in about three months.
Comment 3 Denis Kurz 2017-01-07 22:38:59 UTC
Just as announced in my last comment, I close this bug. If you encounter it again in a recent version (at least 5.0 aka 15.08), please open a new one unless it already exists. Thank you for all your input.
