Description Frank Sagurna 2014-05-12 19:31:53 UTC
When i chat over telepathy on facebook, the messages get marked as ""
Maybe it is a problem like described here:
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/20401696/messages-are-abusive-or-marked-as-spam-facebook-chat-developers

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create a Facebook Account in telepathy
2. Chat with someone
3. Look in the messages on the website of facebook

Actual Results:
Messages are marked as "This message is no longer available because it was identified as abusive or marked as spam." after some time.

Expected Results:
Messages should be there like normal messages.

I've not heard any other accounts of it, and it's not happening here.
There's no mention of it on https://www.facebook.com/groups/315869928431057/?fref=ts

Facebook do tend to roll out their stuff differently on different servers; maybe they're trying something new on you guys.

Are you doing anything odd with the account like connecting to beta.chat.facebook.com or using OAuth login or anything?

It seems like a Facebook problem that we can do nothing about. Keep us updated though.

Thanks for the report!

However we do not maintain nor control the facebook network connection code, that's handled by telepathy-gabble upstream project and bugs like this should go to http://bugs.freedesktop.org -> product telepathy -> component gabble. I'd encourage you to file a bug there.

There's nothing we can do, sorry :/

If you do file a bug there, be sure you post a link to that bug here so we can track.

Thanks for your answer. Today it works correct again, and the old messages are back again, so you seem to be right that facebook messed around with this.
