Description Bernhard Beschow 2014-05-11 15:19:09 UTC
Stage crashes when importing a .mp4 movie file using Phonon's vlc backend. It doesn't crash with the gstreamer plugin, but .mp4 files aren't playable. Playing back .mp4 files in dragon with the vlc backend works.

Additional version information:
vlc: 2.1.4
phonon-qt4-vlc: 0.7.1
Qt: 4.8.6
KDE: 4.13.0

Reduced Backtrace (no debug symbols available):

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Create an empty presentation
2. Add Shape -> Video
3. Select an .mp4 file
Actual Results:
Stage crashes

Expected Results:
Video is added to presentation

Since Archlinux doesn't provide debug symbols, I can't unfortunaltely provide a backtrace. However, you should be able to reproduce the issue and generate a backtrace yourself.

Could you please report your issue as a new ticket with a backtrace? Since this ticket is for the Qt4 version, the backtrace is certainly completely different.
