Description jeremy.thompson2 2014-05-05 10:05:29 UTC
A twelve page document crashes Okular with the segmentation fault if set to double sided. Left as single sided it is OK. [Printer is HP Photosmart 6510].
I haven't exhaustively tried all other options.
I can print another 4 page .pdf double sided no problem.
With my 12 page document, I can print pages 1-4 double sided and pages 1-8 double sided no problem.
I can now print all 1-12 pages double sided no problem. Okular has woken up!
I have seen this before but it "has gone away" before as well. I'll see if I can get a better focus on it, although I am not always printing stuff out.

Reproducible: Sometimes

Please add the backtrace of the crash. For more information, please see http://techbase.kde.org/Development/Tutorials/Debugging/How_to_create_useful_crash_reports

Hi Christoph,

I did try and generate a backtrace as this is what the "crash" window from Okular asked me to do. It seemed to get hung up on seeing what my system was missing to be able to generate the report? I cvan't remember what happened then, as it was not always repeatable.

I'll try and see if I can re-create the "crash" and then generate the backtrace report.

Thanks,

Jeremy.

So you can not reproduce it all the time? Without the backtrace and a way to reproduce it there's almost nothing we can do to fix it.

I do appreciate what you are saying. I hate these intermittent problems.

If I see it again, I'll track my steps as to how I got there and see if it is repeatable!

Thanks.

Sadly we have to close the bug since it doesn't have enough information to fix it.

Since you didn't come back to us we hope it was fixed meanwhile,
