I'm able to wrap around by pressing "STrl+AL++left cursor* after resume for a short while (few seconds) After that the expected behaviour is present again. Just a small cosmetic issue although I'm wondering why it happens. Reproducible: Always
The bug title and the bug description either seem to mismatch, or I did not understand the issue correctly. Could you please clarify?
He has desktop wrapping disabled, but it apparently occurs for a short while after S4. The "interesting" aspect is that RollOverDesktops is defaulted "true" in the .kcfg, but initialized "false" in the options & VirtualDesktopManager code. So what i assume happens is that after S4 the config is re-read, the sync from the .kcfg happens but the actual config reading takes more time (waiting for the HDD) @Toralf You could try running kreadconfig --file kwinrc --group Windows --key RollOverDesktops right after waking up from S4 and see whether the reply matches the time when the setting starts to work.
@Thomas yep, that I meant. And while the command always gave "false" before/after S4 I realized that the issue is not related to S4 itself, instead it is related to the usage of the keyboard or the mouse wheel. Using the keyboard (Alt+Ctrl+left/right) workes fine, but when I use the mouse wheel then the settings are ignored == with the mouse I can wrap around whereas the keyboards stops at the first/last desktop.
Ahh - that would be subject to the desktop/pager then (which however would have to interpret the kwinrc settings) I assume plasma-desktop?
(In reply to comment #4) > I assume plasma-desktop? yes - it is a 32 bit Gentoo Linux w/ KDE 4.11.9 + 4.13.0
Hello! This feature request was filed for KDE Plasma 4, which reached end-of-support status in August 2015. KDE Plasma 5's desktop shell has been almost completely rewritten for better performance and usability, so it is likely that this feature request is already implemented in Plasma 5, or is no longer applicable. Accordingly, we hope you understand why we must close this feature request. If the requested feature is still desired but not implemented in KDE Plasma 5.12 or later, please feel free to open a new ticket in the "plasmashell" product after reading https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved/Bug_Reporting If you would like to get involved in KDE's bug triaging effort so that future mass bug closes like this are less likely, please read https://community.kde.org/Get_Involved#Bug_Triaging Thanks for your understanding!
