Description Peer Frank 2014-04-25 09:04:16 UTC
after update to KDE 4.13.0 kmail (4.13.0 release 3.2 from "current" repo) crahes on startup with error message:

kmail: symbol lookup error: /usr/lib64/libpimcommon.so.4: undefined symbol: _ZTIN6KGAPI25Drive4FileE

(using linux 3.11.10-7-desktop opensuse 13.1)

A missing symbol always means the packages are not compiled from the same repositories. If you are sure you are not mixing packages from different repositories, please report this issue to the bug tracker of your distribution.

I fixed it with:

1) get the labels of the repos with:
zypper -lr

my labels: KDE_SC_current & KDE_extra_current

2) zypper dup --from KDE_SC_current --from KDE_extra_current

After downloading/instaling updates, I got an error message about broken packages. kmail program would not open. I tried "recovery mode" at startup to repair broken packages. but it didn't help. Useing the sudo command I downloaded updates and upgrades but that didn't help either. I also uninstalled and reinstalled kmail.
